When choosing a Big Bag, consider:
Type of material to be packed – loose, dusty, moist, hazardous?
Transport and storage conditions – e.g., UV or moisture resistance.
Filling and emptying method – is a filling or discharge spout required?
Load capacity and volume – depending on product weight.
Frequency of use – single-use or reusable?
Instructions for Use and Transport of Big Bag (FIBC) Sacks
1. PREPARATION FOR USE
a) Checking the condition of the bag
Make sure that the bag is: free from mechanical damage (cuts, abrasions, tears), dry and clean, compliant with requirements (load capacity, construction, certificates).
b) Proper positioning
Place the bag on a flat, stable, and clean surface. Ensure there are no sharp edges nearby.
2. LOADING (FILLING)
a) Even filling
Pour the material gradually and evenly - do not add large amounts at once.
Avoid overfilling.
b) Do not exceed allowable weight
Observe the nominal Safe Working Load (SWL) and Safety Factor (SF).
c) Closing the bag
Tie the inlet (spout) or close the top of the bag according to its design.
3. TRANSPORT AND TRADING
a) Lifting only by the loops
Lift the bag only by its lifting loops. Do not use sharp forks or unprotected hooks. It is safest to lift using all four loops simultaneously.
b) Use appropriate equipment
Use forklifts, cranes, or loaders suitable for the load weight. Never drag the bag across the ground.
c) Do not transport damaged bags
A bag with torn loops, leakage, or damage must not be transported.
4.UNLOADING
a) Controlled discharge of contents
Use a discharge spout or open the bottom only on stable ground. Ensure no one is standing beneath the bag.
b) Do not open abruptly
Sudden discharge may cause the bag to become unstable or damage the surface.
5. CLEANING AND DISPOSAL
a) Cleaning
The bag can be reused only if it is in good condition and properly cleaned. Never pack food after chemicals or vice versa.
b) Disposal according to regulations
Bags contaminated with chemicals or hazardous waste must be disposed of in accordance with regulations.
6. MOST IMPORTANT PROHIBITIONS
Don't overload the bag.
Do not use a damaged bag.
Do not lift the bag by a single loop.
Do not store outdoors without UV protection.
Do not reuse single-use bags.
